Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can.
I was warmly invited along as event photographer to the JCAAA “Reflections” exhibition opening at Artrium in the Bayside Council Offices on Tues 5th Sept 2012
The exhibition presented chosen pieces produced by participants of JCAAA’s Holiday Arts program in 2012. With a broad theme of identity, and using portraits and beyond, the artists define and represent identity whether it be one’s individuality or as part of a group or community.
Artrium showcases art by local artists and provides an opportunity to mount a professional exhibition with assistance and advice from the council.
The works were vibrant and beautiful communications of the lives of the participants. It was awesome to be involved and meet these lovely people and their families. For more information about JCAAA visit http://artsaccess.com.au/2010/03/joint-councils-access-for-all-abilities-jcaaa/
